Wrestler Aman Sehrawat, a resident of a small village in Jhajjar district of Haryana, who created history by winning the bronze medal in wrestling in the Paris Olympics 2024, has returned to India. Aman Sehrawat was given a grand welcome in Delhi and to get a glimpse of him people went to the airport in the capital.

21-year-old Aman Sehrawat hoisted the flag of India in the Paris Olympics by winning the bronze medal in the men’s 57 kg freestyle wrestling event and also created big history. Aman also became the youngest Indian athlete to win a medal in the Olympics. In this matter he has left behind star badminton player PV Sindhu.

When Aman Sehrawat left for the Paris Olympics, very few people knew about him. Now that he has returned after winning the bronze medal, a crowd gathered to see him and the police found it difficult to stop the fans. Flowers were showered on Aman and he was garlanded.
The only male wrestler to go to Paris
Aman Sehrawat of Haryana, representing India, defeated Darlin Tui Cruz of Puerto Rico 13-5. Thanks to Aman, India got its first medal in wrestling in this Olympics. Aman has dedicated the bronze medal to his late parents.
Aman Sehrawat lost his semi-final match. He was defeated 10-0 by the Japanese wrestler. Earlier, he had made it to the semi-finals by defeating the Albanian wrestler 12-0 in the 57 kg category in the quarter-finals. He made it to the quarter-finals by defeating Macedonia’s Vladimir Egorov 10-0. 21-year-old Aman Sehrawat is the only male wrestler to qualify for the Paris Olympics.
