In the World Para Athletics Championship, India’s Deepti Jeevanji has won the gold medal with a world record in the 400 meter race of T-20. He completed the 400 meter race in 55.07 seconds.
Deepti broke the record set by American athlete Brenna Clark in the last World Para Athletics Championship held in Paris. Breanna Clark had a time of 55.12 seconds. Turkey’s Aysel Onder stood second with a timing of 55.19 seconds, while Ecuador’s Lizanshela Angulo stood third with a timing of 56.68 seconds.
