Virat Kohli’s jersey and gloves have been sold the most expensive in the charity auction.

To help needy children, Indian batsman KL Rahul and his wife Athiya Shetty organized a charity auction on Friday, August 23. Here autographed items of Indian cricketers were auctioned. During this period, the highest bid for a jersey signed by Virat Kohli was Rs 40 lakh.

This auction was conducted for Vipla Foundation in the name of ‘Cricket for Charity’. In this, autographed items of star players like Virat Kohli, MS Dhoni, Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul were auctioned. A total of Rs 1.93 crore was collected for this auction. Through this money, work will be done for the education of disabled children.

In this charity auction, things of star cricketer Virat Kohli were sold the most expensive. Apart from his signed jersey, a bid of Rs 28 lakh was received for his batting gloves. Apart from this, Indian captain Rohit Sharma’s bat was sold for Rs 24 lakh and batting gloves for Rs 7.5 lakh.

Former Indian captain MS Dhoni’s bat received a bid of Rs 13 lakh, while former head coach Rahul Dravid’s bat was sold for Rs 11 lakh. KL Rahul’s test jersey was also bought for Rs 11 lakh. Meanwhile, a bid of Rs 7 lakh was received for Rahul’s bat and Rs 4.20 lakh for the helmet.

Indian team’s fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah’s jersey was bought for Rs 8 lakh. A bid of Rs 7.5 lakh was received for Rishabh Pant’s bat and Rs 3.5 lakh for wicket-keeping gloves. While the test jersey of experienced spinner R Ashwin was sold for Rs 4.20 lakh.

MS Dhoni’s gloves were bought for Rs 3.50 lakh, Shreyas Iyer’s bat for Rs 2.80 lakh, Ravindra Jadeja’s jersey for Rs 2.40 lakh, Quinton de Kock’s jersey for Rs 1.10 lakh, Sanju Samson and Yuzvendra Chahal’s jersey for Rs 50-50 thousand.

What did Rahul-Athiya say about the auction?
Regarding this charity auction, Athiya Shetty said, ‘Rahul and I are thrilled to announce our first charity auction, ‘Cricket for a Cause’ to benefit the Vipla Foundation.’

Whereas Rahul said, ‘The money received from this auction will provide support to Vipla Foundation’s special school for hearing impaired and intellectually disabled children. This is a work which is very close to my heart.

Rahul and Athiya organized a charity auction to help Vipla Foundation.
