Amidst this environment, the shares of Tata’s telecom sector company – Tata Teleservices (Maharashtra) Limited i.e. TTML are seen creeping. Shares of TTML fell by more than 2 percent on Wednesday and the price reached Rs 76. At the end of trading the share price was Rs 77.40. This shows a decline of 1.39% from a day earlier.

On September 15, 2023, the share price reached the level of Rs 109.10. This was the 52-week high of the stock. At the same time, this share has reached its low level of Rs 65.29 on June 4, 2024. If we look at the one-year pattern of the stock, it seems that investors’ confidence in this company is decreasing. However, this stock has also given multibagger returns to investors in the long term.

How were the March quarter results?

The telecom company recorded a loss of Rs 309.34 crore in the March quarter. At the same time, there was a loss of Rs 307.69 crore in the December quarter. The company’s loss in the March quarter a year ago was Rs 277.07 crore. Revenue from operations increased to Rs 323.29 crore in the March quarter of FY24, compared to Rs 280.13 crore in the March quarter of FY23. The loss for the entire financial year i.e. FY24 stood at Rs 1,228.44 crore, while the loss in FY23 was Rs 1,144.72 crore. On the other hand, revenue from operations increased to Rs 1,191.65 crore in FY24. Whereas in FY 2023 it was Rs 1106.17 crore.

Details of shareholding pattern

Talking about the shareholding pattern of TTML, 74.36 percent stake is with the promoter. At the same time, 25.64 percent stake is with public shareholders. The company’s main promoter Tata Teleservices holds 94,41,74,817 shares. This is equal to 48.30 percent stake. At the same time, Tata Sons holds 38,27,59,467 shares which is equal to 19.58 percent stake. Tata Power holds 6.48 per cent or 12,67,20,193 shares.
