Taapsee Pannu’s husband Mathias Bo leaves coaching after Satwik-Chirag pair’s exit from Olympics

Chirag Shetty and Satwiksairaj Rankireddy’s coach Mathias Bo on Saturday announced his retirement from coaching after the top Indian badminton pair crashed out of the Paris Olympics. Let us tell you, Matthias Bo is the husband of Bollywood actress Taapsee Pannu. Satwik and Chirag lost 21-13, 14-21, 16-21 to Malaysia’s Aaron Chia and Soh Wooi Yik in the men’s doubles quarterfinals in Paris on Thursday. Bo, who won a silver medal in the London Olympics, had joined Chirag and Satwik as their coach before the Tokyo Olympics. In Paris, Satwik and Chirag were one of the strong contenders for the medal in the men’s doubles category, but the pair failed to win the medal.

Denmark’s 44-year-old Mathias Boe wrote on his Instagram account, “For me, my coaching days end here, I am not going to India or anywhere else at least right now. I have spent too much time in the badminton hall and being a coach is too stressful, I am a tired old man. I myself understand this feeling very well. Pushing yourself to the limit every day, being in the best shape of your life, and then things don’t go the way you expect. I know you guys are disappointed, I know how much you wanted to bring the medal back to India, but it couldn’t happen this time.”

Bo says that despite his disciples not returning from Paris with medals, he is leaving the post as a satisfied man.

He wrote, “You have everything to be proud of, how hard you have worked in this Olympic camp, battling injuries, taking injections to reduce pain, it is dedication, it is passion and it is huge.” Have a heart.”
