Indian cricketers Shreyas Iyer, Ishan Kishan and Suryakumar Yadav will participate in the Buchi Babu Invitation Tournament of Tamil Nadu Cricket. This tournament is starting from 15th August. The competition will be organized at 4 different places. These include Tirunelveli, Coimbatore, Salem and Natham. The tournament will be played in days format with red ball.
According to the information received, Shreyas Iyer will play a match for Mumbai, while Ishaan will captain the Jharkhand team. The winning team of Buchi Babu Invitation Tournament will be given a prize money of Rs 3 lakh. Madhya Pradesh team is entering as defending champion.
Teams from Madhya Pradesh, Delhi, Haryana, Hyderabad, Bengal, Mumbai, Jammu & Kashmir, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh and Gujarat along with TNCA-11 and TNCA President-11 will participate.
Iyer will play against Jammu and Kashmir
Iyer will be available for Mumbai’s second match in Coimbatore. Indian T20 team captain Suryakumar Yadav will also play in this. Deepak Patil, joint secretary of Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA), said, ‘Shreyas Iyer will play for Mumbai in the Buchi Babu Invitation Tournament organized by Tamil Nadu Cricket Association. They will play against Jammu and Kashmir in Coimbatore from August 27 to August 30.
Iyer has returned to the Indian team from the ODI series against Sri Lanka this month, while Suryakumar has captained the Indian team in the T20 series.
Jharkhand made Kishan the captain
Jharkhand team has made Ishan Kishan the captain. He will be available in all matches. He joined the team in the training camp on Wednesday. Ishaan is making a comeback in the domestic tournament through this tournament. He can also make a comeback in the Ranji team.
Ishaan was not a part of Ranji Trophy last season. In such a situation, he was dropped from the central contract of BCCI. The selectors were angry that Ishaan had left Ranji and prepared for IPL with Pandya.
