Stock market reached record high, these companies made huge profits, investors happy


Stock Market News: The market capitalization (market cap) of nine of the top 10 most valuable Sensex companies registered a jump of Rs 2,89,699.42 crore last week. Reliance Industries was the biggest gainer amid the strong rise in the stock market.

Last week, the 30-share BSE Sensex rose 1,822.83 points or 2.36 percent. The BSE Sensex has risen 7.14 percent in June. This is its best monthly growth. On Thursday, the Sensex crossed the 79,000-mark for the first time.

Market valuations of Reliance Industries, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, Bharti Airtel, State Bank of India (SBI), Infosys, Hindustan Unilever and ITC rose in the week under review. There was a decline in the valuation of Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC).

The market capitalization of Reliance Industries increased by Rs 1,52,264.63 crore to Rs 21,18,951.20 crore during the week. The market valuation of TCS increased by Rs 34,733.64 crore and reached Rs 14,12,845.09 crore.

The market capitalization of ICICI Bank increased by Rs 30,286.99 crore to Rs 8,44,201.88 crore. Whereas the market capitalization of Bharti Airtel increased by Rs 18,267.7 crore to Rs 8,22,530.35 crore. The market valuation of Infosys rose by Rs 14,656.3 crore to Rs 6,50,602.10 crore and that of HDFC Bank jumped by Rs 13,808.74 crore to Rs 12,80,865.43 crore.

The market capitalization of State Bank of India increased by Rs 11,111.14 crore to Rs 7,57,565.68 crore. The market valuation of Hindustan Unilever increased by Rs 7,953.37 crore and reached Rs 5,81,570.83 crore. ITC’s market cap increased by Rs 6,616.91 crore to Rs 5,30,475.82 crore.

Contrary to this trend, the market capitalization of LIC declined by Rs 22,042.61 crore to Rs 6,25,573.90 crore. Reliance Industries remained at first position in the list of top 10 companies. This was followed by TCS, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, Bharti Airtel, State Bank of India, Infosys, LIC, Hindustan Unilever and ITC respectively.
