The stock market has made an all-time high today i.e. on June 27 for the third consecutive day. Sensex closed at 79,243 with a gain of 568 points. Nifty also gained 175 points. It closed at the level of 24,044.
Earlier during trading, Sensex made an all time high of 79,396 and Nifty made an all time high of 24,087. The stock market also made all-time high on June 25 and 26. Out of 30 Sensex stocks, 22 stocks have seen a rise and 8 have seen a decline.
Metal, energy and IT shares are more bullish. Nifty IT index had the highest rise of 2.03%. UltraTech Cement was the top gainer of Nifty with a gain of 5.45%. L&T stock was the Nifty top loser with a decline of 1.11%.
UltraTech Cement will buy 23% stake in India Cements
The Board of Directors of UltraTech Cement has approved the acquisition of 23% equity stake in India Cements. UltraTech will buy 7.06 crore stocks of India Cements at the rate of Rs 267 per share. According to this, the total price of this deal can be around Rs 1,885 crore.
As a result of this deal, there has been a rise in the shares of UltraTech Cement and India Cement. Shares of India Cement closed at Rs 291.75, up Rs 29.13 (11.09%). Whereas UltraTech Cement rose by Rs 606.75 (5.45%) and closed at Rs 11,749.85.
There was a decline in Asian markets
- There was a decline in Asian markets today. Japan’s Nikkei fell 0.82% and China’s Shanghai Composite Index fell 0.90%. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng also closed down by 2.06%.
- Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) sold shares worth ₹3,535.43 crore on Wednesday. During this period, Domestic Institutional Investors (DII) bought shares worth ₹ 5,103.67 crore.
- A slight rise was seen in the American market on Wednesday. Dow Jones was up 0.04%. Whereas Nasdaq closed with a gain of 0.49% and S&P 500 index closed with a gain of 0.16%.
Allied Blenders and Distillers’ IPO subscribed 24.67 times.
Today was the last Initial Public Offer (IPO) of Allied Blenders and Distillers. This issue total has been subscribed 24.67 times till 2 pm on June 27. This IPO was subscribed 4.44 times in the retail category, 53.01 times in the Qualified Institutional Buyers (QIB) and 33.94 times in the Non-Institutional Investors (NII) category.
Yesterday the market made an all time high
Earlier yesterday i.e. on June 26, the stock market had made an all-time high for the second consecutive day. The Sensex closed at a record level of 78,674 with a gain of 620 points. At the same time, Nifty also rose by 147 points. It closed at a record level of 23,868. Earlier during trading yesterday, Sensex touched the level of 78,759 and Nifty touched the level of 23,889. Yesterday i.e. on 25th June also Sensex and Nifty had made all time high.
