There has been a big fall in the prices of gold and silver today i.e. on 23rd May. According to India Bullion and Jewelers Association (IBJA), 10 grams of 24 carat gold has become cheaper by Rs 1289 to Rs 72,791.

Talking about silver, today one kg of silver is being sold cheaper by Rs 3,476 and is being sold at Rs 89,410 per kg. Earlier on May 23, silver was at Rs 92,886 per kg.

Gold price in 4 metros and Bhopal

  • Delhi: The price of 10 grams 22 carat gold is Rs 67,450 and the price of 10 grams 24 carat gold is Rs 73,570.
  • Mumbai: The price of 10 grams 22 carat gold is Rs 67,300 and the price of 10 grams 24 carat gold is Rs 73,420.
  • Kolkata: The price of 10 grams of 22 carat gold is Rs 67,300 and the price of 10 grams of 24 carat gold is Rs 73,420.
  • Chennai: The price of 10 grams 22 carat gold is Rs 67,500 and the price of 10 grams 24 carat gold is Rs 73,650.
  • Bhopal: The price of 10 grams 22 carat gold is Rs 67,350 and the price of 10 grams 24 carat gold is Rs 73,470.

So far this year gold has increased by more than Rs 9 thousand
According to IBJA, so far this year the price of gold has increased by Rs 9,439. On January 1, gold was at Rs 63,352, which has now reached Rs 72,791 per 10 grams. At the same time, the price of one kg silver has increased from Rs 73,395 to Rs 89,410.

Gold can go up to Rs 85 thousand
According to Anuj Gupta, Commodity and Currency Head, HDFC Securities, an increase in gold and silver may be seen in the coming days also. In the next one year, the price of gold can go up to Rs 80 thousand to Rs 85 thousand per 10 grams. Whereas silver can also reach Rs 1 lakh per kg.
