SpiceJet Chairman Ajay Singh said on Wednesday that the airline is working towards expanding its operations. It will raise around ₹2 thousand crore in the next few months.
Singh said the airline was facing problems. We are trying to deal with it. The airline’s balance sheet will recover in the next two quarters.
On NDA getting fewer seats as compared to 2019, Ajay Singh said that he hoped that the new government would not be bureaucratic and would help in the expansion of the aviation ecosystem.
Singh said governments cannot expect lower airfares for the common man by taxing India’s aviation as a product of the rich. It is also important that India has an aviation hub and in this regard ‘we need to take every possible step’.
