Veteran industrialist Ratan Tata died on Wednesday night at the age of 86. Ratan Tata’s last rites will be performed in Mumbai. His last journey witnessed a special scene where his close aide and Tata Trust Deputy General Manager Shantanu Naidu was riding his motorcycle in front of the hearse carrying Ratan Tata’s mortal remains. Shantanu Naidu always lived like a shadow with Ratan Tata. This scene was seen by people on the streets of Mumbai and captured on camera. Ratan Tata, the chairman emeritus of Tata Sons and one of India’s most influential business leaders, passed away on October 9, 2024, at the age of 86. He died at Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai, where he had been receiving treatment for age-related health issues. Beyond business, his philanthropic efforts significantly impacted education, healthcare, and various social initiatives across India. After this, Shantanu Naidu went to America for his master’s degree and after returning, he got a chance to work in the private office of Ratan Tata.
