Dhoni’s words – Welcome to the 2007 World Champion teamIn the year 2019, former Indian captain MS Dhoni had remembered the memorable welcome of the 2007 world champion team in an event. Dhoni recalled those moments – ‘We came to India after winning the (T20) World Cup in 2007 and we traveled in an open bus and we stood at Marine Drive (Mumbai). There was traffic jam everywhere and people came in their cars to welcome us.
I was happy to see the happiness on everyone’s faces, because there must have been many people among the fans who might have missed their flight, maybe they were going for some important work. That was a wonderful welcome. The entire Marine Drive was filled from one end to the other.
