Rohit Sharma and Team India coach Rahul Dravid with the World Cup.
Indian team captain Rohit Sharma said on Wednesday that the team’s former chief coach Rahul Dravid, selection committee chairman Ajit Agarkar and Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) secretary Jay Shah gave him complete freedom without worrying about the result. Because of which we were successful in winning the T-20 World Cup.
Under the captaincy of Rohit, India won the title after 17 years by defeating South Africa in the final of the T-20 World Cup held in America and West Indies this year.
Rohit, after being selected as the best male international cricketer of the year at an event, said, my dream was to change this team without worrying about results and statistics. I should create such an environment in the team where players can play freely on the field without worrying about anything. For this I needed support.
I got this support from my three pillars which are actually Jay Shah, Rahul Dravid and selection committee chairman Ajit Agarkar. What I did was important to me and of course not forgetting the players who came in at different times and helped the team achieve what we achieved.

The feeling of winning the World Cup cannot be expressed in words.
Rohit said that the happiness of winning the World Cup cannot be expressed in words. It was a feeling that doesn’t come every day. When we won the World Cup, it was important for all of us to enjoy the moment, which we did very well and thanks to our country for celebrating with us.
As much as it mattered to us, it also mattered to the entire country. It felt great to bring it back home and celebrate with everyone here.

Doesn’t care about the weight of the bat
Rohit further said, ‘The balance of the bat is very important for me. I have seen a lot of people who think a lot about ‘how many grains are there in the bat’, ‘how much does the bat weigh’ and ‘how does it look from outside’, but I am not that kind of person. I pick up the bat and if I feel it’s the right bat, I play with it.”
Our expectations increased after T-20 World Cup
Rohit said that after winning the T-20 World Cup, our ambition has increased. Once you have achieved something and want to achieve it further, you do not want to stop. Whatever I am thinking, perhaps my other teammates are also thinking the same.
