Pregnant woman crushed by truck, gives birth to baby girl on the road; Mother and daughter both died within minutes


A heart-wrenching incident took place in Nelamangala area of ​​Bengaluru on Wednesday morning. During this incident, a speeding truck crushed an eight-month pregnant woman. During this accident, the woman gave birth to a baby girl on the road itself, but unfortunately both the newborn and her mother died within a few minutes. The incident occurred near Yedehalli on National Highway 4.

The deceased woman has been identified as Sinchana (30). She was traveling on a scooter with her husband. Her husband works in a private company and on the day of the incident, he was returning home after visiting a temple in Shivganj. According to media reports, when they were on the national highway, a government bus suddenly applied brakes, forcing Sinchana’s husband to stop the scooter.

During this time, a sand laden truck was coming fast from behind. The truck hit their scooter hard, causing both of them to fall. The woman fell on the road and came under the wheels of the truck. Soon after the fatal accident, Sinchana gave birth to a baby girl on the road. However, due to extreme injuries and circumstances the baby girl died soon after birth. The woman also died a few minutes after the incident. The local police reached the spot as soon as information about the incident was received. The truck driver was arrested and the truck was also confiscated.

Sinchana’s husband told that his wife’s delivery date was fixed for August 17. They had gone to the temple so that both of them could spend some time alone. Now having lost his wife and infant daughter, he blamed himself and cursed his fate. Superintendent of Police CK Baba visited the accident site and assessed the situation. Police said the location is a high-risk area, where more than 90 fatal accidents have occurred in the last six months.
