American sprinter Noah Lyles has won the gold in the men’s 100 meter athletics race in the Paris Olympics. He completed the race in 9.79 seconds. With this, USA won the Olympic 100 meter race gold after 20 years. America’s Justin Gatlin won the gold in this category in the 2004 Athens Olympics.

On Monday night, Jamaica’s Kishane Thompson (9.79 seconds) won silver and USA’s Fred Curley (9.81 seconds) won bronze. Lyles finished the race in 9.79 (.784) seconds and Thompson in 9.79 (.789) seconds.
