Manu Bhakar and Sarabjot Singh had qualified for the bronze medal in the match held on Monday.
Haryana’s shooters Manu Bhakar and Sarabjot Singh will play for the bronze medal in the 10 meter air pistol mixed event at the Paris Olympics today. They will compete with the Korean team. In the competition held on Monday, Manu Bhaker and Sarabjot made it to the medal round with 580 points.

Earlier, Manu Bhaker had won the bronze medal in the 10 meter air pistol single event. If she wins a medal even today, she will become the first female Indian shooter to win two medals in the Olympics.
After reaching the final on Monday, Sarabjot Singh said, ‘Before sleeping at night, I write down what I want for the next day, then wake up early in the morning and practice with the same determination. This has been the mantra of success till now. Manu is a strong player. Not to lose hope till the last shot, now he has to perform like a champion.
On the other hand, in the men’s 51 kg round boxing event, Rohtak’s Amit Panghal will have a round of 16 match today at 7:15 pm. He will face Patrick Chiyemba of Zambia. Amit has defeated the Zambian boxer in the Commonwealth Games.
Manu Bhakar had won the bronze medal in 10 meter air pistol on Saturday.

1. Sarabjot Singh
Sarabjot Singh was born on 30 September 2001. He is a resident of Dheen village under Mulana of Ambala district in Haryana. His father Jatinder Singh is a farmer. Mother Hardeep Kaur is a housewife. Sarabjot is a student of DAV College, Sector 10, Chandigarh.
Sarabjot started shooting during school time itself. He takes training under coach Abhishek Rana of AR Shooting Academy, Ambala Cantt at Central Phoenix Club.
2. Manu Bhakar
Manu Bhaker was born on 18 February 2002. She is a resident of Goriya village in Jhajjar district of Haryana. His father Ram Kishan Bhakar is in the Merchant Navy. One day Manu was roaming in the shooting range with her father. Suddenly Manu started shooting. He hit target number 10 right in the middle. Seeing this, the father encouraged Manu to take up shooting and bought him a gun. National coach Yashpal Rana taught Manu the tricks of shooting.
Before shooting, Manu has tried herself in Karate, Thang Ta, Tanta, Skating, Swimming and Tennis. Manu is a national medalist in Karate, Thang Ta and Tanta. Tanta is a 3-time national champion. Has won state medal in skating. He played swimming and tennis in school.
