Due to Muharram holiday, the stock market will remain closed tomorrow i.e. Wednesday (17 July 2024). In such a situation, there will be no trading in the two stock market exchanges Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and National Stock Exchange (NSE) on this day.

This closure will affect all segments including equity, derivatives and SLB i.e. Security Lending and Borrowing. The market will resume normal trading on Thursday, July 18.

At the same time, Multi Commodity Exchange of India Limited (MCX) will remain closed for morning session on July 17. However, it will reopen for evening sessions from 5:00 pm to 11:30 pm or 11:55 pm.

Muharram holiday will be the 10th market holiday this year
Muharram holiday will be the 10th market holiday of this year i.e. 2024. After this, the market will remain closed on 15th August on the occasion of Independence Day.

Tomorrow the first quarter results of these companies will be released.
The market will be closed tomorrow due to holiday, but companies like Asian Paints Limited, LTI Mindtree and Hathway Cable will release the results of the first quarter of their financial year 2024-25.

Stock market made all time high today
The stock market made an all-time high today on Tuesday (July 16). During trading, Sensex made a high of 80,898 and Nifty made a high of 24,661. After this the market came down slightly and the Sensex closed at 80,716 with a gain of 51 points. There was also a rise of 26 points in Nifty, it closed at the level of 24,613.
