The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has summoned former Indian captain Mohammad Azharuddin on Thursday. Azhar has been accused of corruption during his tenure as the President of Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA), although Azhar has completely denied the allegations. (Mohammad Azharuddin Vs ED)
ED has called Azhar for questioning today itself. The ED team is investigating irregularities in HCA. The ED has registered the case based on the case already registered at Uppal police station.

Cricketer-turned-politician Azharuddin was appointed the President of Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee in 2018. In 2009, he was MP from Moradabad, UP on Congress ticket.
