Earlier, the company had increased recharge prices by 20% in December 2021.
Reliance Jio has increased the prices of its prepaid and postpaid plans by 15% to 25%. The new tariff plans will come into effect from July 3. Now the most popular plan of Rs 239 has become available at Rs 299.
In the plan of Rs 239, 1.5GB data is available daily. Its validity is 28 days. The cheapest prepaid plan was for Rs 155, now it will be available for Rs 189. See the new price list here…
Data add-on of Rs 15 now costs Rs 19
Along with increasing the tariffs of monthly and launch term recharge plans, the company has also increased the prices of data add-on plans i.e. plans that take extra data after the data limit is exhausted during the plan. 1GB data add on used to cost Rs 15, now you will have to pay Rs 19 for it. Earlier, all the telecom companies had increased their tariffs by more than 20% in December 2021. At the same time, Jio had increased the tariff for the first time in 2019 after its launch in 2016. Jio had increased tariffs by 20-40% in 2019.
VI and Airtel may also increase prices
Now it is being speculated that after this decision of Reliance Jio, two more telecom service providers of the country, Vodafone-Idea (VI) and Airtel may also increase their tariffs. Airtel Chairman Sunil Mittal has spoken on the need for this many times.
