India’s Under-19 team has won the 3-match series being played against Australia Under-19. In the second Under-19 ODI, India defeated Australia by 9 wickets. In the match being played in Puducherry, India won the match due to the century of opener Sahil Parakh.(India won the series from Australia)

 

On Monday, after winning the toss and coming to bat first, the Kangaroo team was all out for 176 runs. In reply, India achieved the target by losing only 1 wicket in 22 overs. On behalf of the team, Sahil Parakh scored 109 runs and Abhigyan Kundu scored 53 runs. Samarth Nagaraj, Mohammad Inan and Kiran Chormale took 2 wickets each. In the first ODI, India defeated Australia by 7 wickets. The third and last match will be played on 26 September.

Australia lost the last 4 wickets within 26 runs. Riley Kingsley and Alex Lee Young gave a solid start to the Kangaroo team. Mohammad Inan took the first wicket of the team on the score of 36 runs. He bowled Alex Lee Young on the score of 19 runs. After this Riley Kingsley was run out on 15 runs. Captain Oliver Peak was dismissed by Kieran Chormale for 15 runs.

Addison Sheriff scored the maximum 39 runs for Australia. Apart from him, Christian Howe played an inning of 28 runs. The last four batsmen could add only 26 runs to Australia’s score. The entire team was all out after scoring 176 runs in the last over of the innings. Samarth Nagaraj, Mohammad Inan and Kiran Chormale took 2-2 wickets for India. Hardik Raj and Yudhjit Guha got 1-1 wicket.

Sahil’s century, Abhigyan’s fifty The Indian Under-19 team, which came out to chase 177 runs, had a bad start. The team lost the first wicket on the score of 24 runs. Opener Rudra Patel was out after scoring 10 runs. After Rudra’s dismissal, Sahil and Abhigyan together made a century partnership. Both of them batted fast together and achieved the target of 177 runs in just 22 overs at a run rate of 8.04.

Sahil and Abhigyan added 153 runs for the second wicket. Sahil Parakh batted brilliantly and scored runs at a strike rate of 145. He played an innings of 109 runs on 75 balls. Sahil hit 14 fours and 5 sixes in the innings. Apart from him, Abhigyan Kundu scored 53 runs on 50 balls. He hit 9 fours in the innings. Harry Hoekstra took the only wicket of India Under 19.
