Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) President Amol Kale died in America on Monday due to a heart attack. He had arrived along with two other MCA officials to watch the T20 World Cup match played between India and Pakistan at Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York on Sunday.

He was accompanied by MCA Secretary Ajinkya Nayak and Apex Council member Suraj Samat.

Amol Kale was elected President of MCA in October 2022.

Important role of Mumbai’s senior players in doubling the match fees
Kale played an important role in doubling the match fees of domestic players playing in Ranji and other domestic tournaments for Mumbai.

Was close to the Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra
Kale is a resident of Nagpur. He is a business man. Had good relations with Devendra Fadnavis, currently Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra. He was a black sports lover. Apart from being the President of Maharashtra Cricket Association, he was also the co-promoter of the tennis-ball franchise cricket league Indian Street Premier League.

Was also a member of Tirupati Balaji Devasthan Trust
Amol Kale was also a member of Tirupati Balaji Devasthan Trust in Andhra Pradesh for three consecutive years. He played an important role in finding land for Lord Sri Venkateswara Temple in Ulwe, Navi Mumbai.
