This time India has got the opportunity to host the Paragliding World Cup. It will be organized in Bir-Billing in Kangra district of Himachal from 2 to 9 November. Paragliding World Cup Association had organized Paragliding Accuracy Pre-World Cup and Pai held in Beed-Billing last year.

Let us tell you that two pre-World Cups have been organized in Beed Billing in the year 2023. Anurag Sharma, President of Beed Billing Paragliding Association (BPA) said that India got the opportunity to host it with the encouragement and cooperation of the state government. He told that the Federation Aeronautic International (FAI) has given it the status of Category 2 event. Aero Club of India has also recognized it.

40 to 50 countries will participate
Anurag told that participants from 40 to 50 countries will participate in this event. He said that currently, in just three days, 81 participants from 27 countries have registered themselves on the website of Paragliding World Cup Association. Only 130 participants will get a chance to fly in this World Cup. For this, world and national rankings will be made the basis.
He said, in the World Cup, the participants will be given the task of flying 100 to 200 kilometers from Beed Billing every day in cross country. Himachal Paragliding Festival will also be celebrated at Bir-Billing during this event. Apart from the World Cup, many aerial stunts, marathon, cycling, rafting and Indian Air Force shows will also be organized for the spectators. Apart from this, Sanskrit evenings will also be organized every evening during the World Cup to introduce the Himachali culture.
