The Indian team has been announced for the Asian Champions Trophy.
Hockey India on Wednesday announced the 18-member Indian team for the Asian Champions Trophy to be held in China. Harmanpreet Singh will captain the team in the tournament. 10 players who won bronze medal in Paris Olympics have been included in this team. While 5 players have been rested.
This tournament will be played in Hulunbuir, Inner Mongolia from 8 to 17 September. India will play its first match against host China on September 8. The Indian team is the defending champion of this tournament. Last year, the team won the title by defeating Malaysia in the final match of the tournament.
