Nicholas Pooran was the leading run-scorer for West Indies in the tournament. Puran led the team to a spectacular victory against Afghanistan with an inning of 98 runs. This was also the highest score by any player in the tournament.

Surya scored two half-centuries in the tournament and played a crucial inning of 47 runs in the semi-final against England. Played an important role in India’s title victory by taking the best catch of the tournament in the final. It was David Miller’s catch on the first ball of the last over, due to which victory slipped away from South Africa.

He scored a brilliant 47 runs in the final, which helped Virat Kohli to survive and play the role of anchor. In the semi-final against England, he took 3 wickets for 23 runs and was the player of the match.
Rashid Khan
Rashid Khan led the Afghanistan team brilliantly. He created history by performing brilliantly with the ball and taking his team to the semi-finals. Rashid bowled at an excellent economy rate of 6.17 and took 14 wickets in the tournament.

Marcus Stoinis was Australia’s X-factor player in the T20 World Cup. He played brilliant innings against Oman and Scotland.

Jasprit Bumrah was chosen Player of the Tournament. Bumrah took 15 wickets in T-20 World Cup 2024. His economy rate was 4.17, which is the best of any bowler in any edition of the T20 World Cup.
Arshdeep Singh
Arshdeep Singh was the joint-highest wicket-taker in the tournament with 17 wickets in eight matches along with Fazalhaq Farooqui. Arshdeep played an important role in India’s victory in the final. He took the big wicket of Quinton de Kock at a crucial time in the match and then bowled a brilliant 19th over which conceded only four runs.
Fazalhaq Farooqui
Farooqui, the joint-highest wicket-taker in the tournament, played a key role in taking Afghanistan to their first World Cup semi-final. His 17 wickets came at an impressive economy rate of 6.31 and the left-arm fast bowler put Afghanistan in a strong position by giving early blows to opposition teams in many matches. He took 5/9 wickets against Uganda in the tournament. This was his best spell.
