After Manu Bhaker, another Indian shooter Ramita Jindal has reached the final in Paris Olympics. Ramita will play the final match of 10 meter air rifle event today i.e. Monday at 1 pm. Ramita finished fifth in the qualification round held on Sunday with 631.5 marks.

20 year old Ramita is a resident of Ladwa in Kurukshetra district of Haryana. Ramita had made her mark by winning silver and bronze medals in the 2022 Asian Games. She is the first Indian woman rifle shooter to reach the Olympic final after her coach Suma Shirur (Athens 2004).

Interest increased when father took me to shooting range
Ramita Jindal was born on 16 January 2004 in Jindal family in Ladwa. She is a student of Hansraj College, Delhi University. Ramita’s father Arvind Jindal is a tax advisor. Ramita started shooting at the age of 8.
Arvind Jindal took daughter Ramita to Karan Shooting Range in Kurukshetra. From here Ramita’s interest in shooting increased. She started going to school in the morning and then went to Karan Shooting Range for practice in the evening.
Ramita Jindal’s first success came when she finished in the top 10 at the 2018 National Championship. In 2020, Ramita started winning medals in national level competitions. After this he got recognition as an Indian shooter.
Finalized place in Olympics in 2023
Ramita Jindal won the gold medal in the World Championship held in Baku in the year 2023. After winning the medal here, his place in Paris Olympics 2024 was confirmed.
Ramita Jindal performed brilliantly in the Asian Games held in 2022 and won 2 medals.
