BCCI has made changes in the home calendar for 2024-25. The board gave this information on Tuesday. Earlier, the home calendar of the Indian team was released on 20 June 2024.
According to the new schedule, Gwalior has been given the hosting rights for the first T20 match of the India-Bangladesh series. This match will be played in the newly constructed Madhav Rao Scindia Stadium. Earlier this match was to be played in Dharamshala, but due to dressing room renovation in Dharamshala, the match has been shifted.
International cricket match will be played in Gwalior after 14 years. Earlier, in the ODI match played in 2010, Sachin Tendulkar had scored the first double century of his career against South Africa.
There was a change in the schedule of 2 matches
- The first T20 match against Bangladesh to be held in Dharamshala will now be played in Gwalior on 6 October.
- The second T20 match against England to be held in Kolkata will now be played in Chennai on 22 January 2025.

Why did the schedule change?
Renovation of the dressing room of Dharamshala stadium is going on. In such a situation, the Dharamshala match has been shifted to Gwalior, while the second change has been made at the behest of Kolkata Police, because Kolkata Police and Bengal Association had asked to hold the match at another venue due to Republic Day.
