There is a fall in the prices of gold and silver today i.e. on 22nd July. According to the website of India Bullion and Jewelers Association (IBJA), 10 grams of 24 carat gold has fallen by Rs 234 to Rs 73,006. Yesterday its price was Rs 73,240 per ten grams.

Whereas one kg silver has fallen by Rs 655 and is being sold at Rs 88,328 per kg. Earlier, silver was at Rs 88,983 per kg. This year, silver had reached its all-time high of Rs 94,280 per share on May 29.

Gold price in 4 metros and Bhopal

  • Delhi: The price of 10 grams 22 carat gold is Rs 67,850 and the price of 10 grams 24 carat gold is Rs 74,000.
  • Mumbai: The price of 10 grams 22 carat gold is Rs 67,700 and the price of 10 grams 24 carat gold is Rs 73,850.
  • Kolkata: The price of 10 grams of 22 carat gold is Rs 67,700 and the price of 10 grams of 24 carat gold is Rs 73,850.
  • Chennai: The price of 10 grams 22 carat gold is Rs 68,250 and the price of 10 grams 24 carat gold is Rs 74,450.
  • Bhopal: The price of 10 grams 22 carat gold is Rs 67,750 and the price of 10 grams 24 carat gold is Rs 73,900.

Gold prices have increased by more than Rs 9,500 so far this year
So far this year, the price of gold has increased by Rs 9,654 per 10 grams. At the beginning of the year it was at Rs 63,352. Which is now at Rs 73,006 per 10 grams. At the beginning of the year, silver was at Rs 73,395 per kg. Which has now reached Rs 88,328 per kg. That means, silver has increased by Rs 14,933 this year.

Gold can go up to Rs 88,450
We may see a rise in gold prices in the next one year. According to a report by American financial services firm Citibank, by mid-2025 the price of gold can reach $ 3000 (Rs 2.5 lakh) per ounce i.e. Rs 88,450 per 10 grams. Whereas brokerage house Motilal Oswal Financial Services estimates that the price of silver in the domestic market may reach Rs 1.25 lakh in the next 12-15 months.
