Raymond once again appointed Gautam Hari Singhania as the managing director of the company for the next 5 years. This decision of the company was approved by the shareholders at Raymond’s Annual General Meeting on Thursday (June 27).
Gautam Singhania’s new tenure will start from July 1, 2024.
The new tenure of Gautam Singhania will start from July 1, 2024. The company gave this information in its stock exchange filing. The company confirmed that this re-appointment has been done as per the requirements of the stock exchange circulars.
Raymond’s shareholder advisory firm had protested against Singhania’s appointment a few days ago. The firm had also advised an independent investigation into the domestic violence and misappropriation of funds case leveled by Gautam Singhania’s wife Nawaz Modi.
The firm had advised that Gautam should resign from the board.
The firm had also advised that Gautam Singhania and Nawaz Modi should resign from the Raymond board. The firm had said that he should not remain a part of the board until the divorce issue is resolved and an independent investigation should be continued.
