This train is on Delhi-Varanasi route. Vande Bharat’s number is 22416” Soon after the video came into limelight, Northern Railways has given clarification.
Railways official X-Handle attributed the water leakage to “temporary blockage in pipes” as the reason. It wrote, “Slight leakage of water observed in coach due to temporary blockage in pipes! The staff present on the train noticed this and fixed it. Sorry for the inconvenience caused.” This video shared on July 2 has been viewed more than 35,000 times. Social media users also criticized the Railway Ministry for poor management of trains.
Banaras-New Delhi Vande Bharat Express narrowly escapes accident

Public Relations Officer of Railway Prayagraj Division, Amit Kumar Singh said that the engine of Vande Bharat Express developed a fault after some animal came in front of the engine, after which the Vande Bharat Express was stopped at Bharthana Railway Station. The defect has been rectified by a team of engineers. After this the train has been sent to New Delhi.
Railway officials said that at around 7.45 pm, Vande Bharat Express stopped at Bharthana railway station in Etawah district. After this, information came to light that there was a technical fault in the engine of Vande Bharat Express. After the railway officials got information about this, a team of about half a dozen railway engineers reached the spot and tried to correct the technical flaw. After a lot of effort, the technical fault of the engine was resolved around 9 o’clock and the train was sent to New Delhi at 9:02.
