DA increased by 16% in one stroke, great news for these employees


Central employees are waiting for Dearness Allowance i.e. DA for the second half of the year. It is estimated that central employees will get good news on DA in the month of September. At the same time, some states have announced allowances for their employees. In this series, Rajasthan government has also given great news to the state employees. However, this gift is for employees falling within the scope of 6th Pay Commission.

Rajasthan government has given a gift

Rajasthan government announced 16 percent increase in dearness allowance. Along with this, dearness allowance of pensioners has also been increased by nine percent. Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma said on social media account ‘X’, “The state government, dedicated to good governance, has decided to increase the dearness allowance of state employees and pensioners under the fifth and sixth pay scale by 16 percent and nine percent respectively.” As a result of this decision, dearness allowance in the fifth pay scale has increased from 427 percent to 443 percent and in the sixth pay scale from 230 percent to 239 percent.

Central employees are waiting

Meanwhile, central employees are awaiting a hike in dearness allowance for the second half as per the recommendations of the Seventh Pay Commission. After the formation of Narendra Modi government, now all kinds of calculations are being done regarding allowances.

In March, the Union Cabinet had approved the release of an additional installment of dearness allowance to central government employees and dearness relief to pensioners to compensate for inflation. Under this, the rate of 46 percent of basic salary/pension was increased by 4 percent. After this increase, the employees’ allowance increased to 50 percent. This benefited 49.18 lakh central government employees and 67.95 lakh pensioners. Now once again a 4 percent increase is expected, then the allowance will increase to 54 percent.
