1. PM Modi released the 17th installment of Kisan Samman: Rs 20 thousand crore transferred to the accounts of 9.26 crore farmers.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has released the 17th installment of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi on June 18. In this, installments of Rs 2,000 each have been sent to the accounts of 9.26 crore farmers. A total amount of Rs 20 thousand crore was transferred. PM Modi sent this amount to the accounts of farmers in a program organized in his parliamentary constituency Varanasi.
Earlier on February 28, the 16th installment of the scheme was released. Then more than Rs 21 thousand crore was transferred. Under this scheme, the government transfers Rs 6000 to the farmers’ accounts every year in three installments of Rs 2 thousand each.

2. Air India will open the first flying school in India: The airline will train 180 pilots every year in Amravati, Maharashtra.
Tata Group’s airline Air India is going to open its first flying school in India. According to the report of Economics Times, this flying school of Air India will be opened in Amravati, Maharashtra.

3. Net direct tax collection of Government of India increased by 21%: ₹ 4.63 lakh crore so far in FY-25, tax refund of ₹ 53,300 crore issued.
The net direct tax collection of the Government of India increased by about 21% year-on-year to Rs 4.63 lakh crore between April 1 and June 17 (FY 2024-25). The Finance Ministry gave this information by releasing provisional data on June 18 (Tuesday).
The Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) said that gross direct tax collections increased by more than 22% year-on-year to Rs 5.16 lakh crore. Gross direct tax means tax collection before refund.

4. Fitch increased India’s GDP growth estimate from 7% to 7.2% for FY-25, this is equal to RBI’s estimate.
Fitch Ratings agency on Tuesday (June 18) raised India’s GDP growth forecast for the current financial year 2024-25 to 7.2% from 7% estimated in March. The agency has increased India’s growth estimates citing improvement in consumer spending and growth in investment.
Fitch has estimated a growth rate of 6.5% for the financial year 2025-26. At the same time, India’s economy is estimated to grow at a growth rate of 6.2% for the financial year 2026-27.

5. Shares of ixigo’s parent company up 45% on BSE – Listed: Le Travenews Technology listed on NSE at 48.50% premium, issue price was ₹ 93
Shares of ixigo’s parent company Le Travenews Technology closed at Rs 72.72 (78.19%) on Tuesday. Earlier, the shares were listed at Rs 138.10 on NSE, up Rs 45.10 (48.5%). Whereas on BSE it was listed at Rs 135, up by Rs 42 (45.2%).
The company had kept the price band of its initial public offer i.e. IPO at ₹ 88-₹ 93. After bidding, its issue price was fixed at Rs 93. Retail investors could bid for this from June 10 to June 12.

Tech company Google has launched the Gemini AI app. This app supports 9 Indian languages including Hindi, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu. Google CEO Sundar Pichai gave this information on social media platform X.
Additionally, Google has introduced new features in Gemini Advanced, including data analysis capabilities, file uploads, and the ability to have English language chat with Gemini in Google Messages. Apart from India, Gemini app has also been launched in Turkey, Bangladesh, Pakistan and Sri Lanka.

French auto maker Citroen India has (June 18) launched the Dhoni Edition of Citroen C3 Aircross in the Indian market. The design of the limited edition of the mid-size SUV is based on the jersey of former Indian cricket team captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni. Its name is C3 Aircross 7-Dhoni Edition and will be available only with 5+2 seating configuration.
