2. Jio discontinued ₹ 395 and ₹ 1559 plans: Recharges will become costlier by 25% from July 3, tariff rates of Airtel and VI also increased.

Reliance Jio has discontinued two of its affordable recharge plans – Rs 395 and Rs 1559 – after increasing the tariff rates by 25%. In both these plans, extended validity was available with 5G network.

In the Rs 395 plan, Jio users got 6GB data and 84 days validity and in the Rs 1559 plan, Jio users got 24GB data and 336 days validity. The increased recharge rates are being implemented from July 3, so Jio users could increase their validity at a cheaper price by recharging with both these plans. This could have reduced the company’s earnings.

3. 1,389 crore UPI transactions took place in June: This is 49% more than last year, through which an amount of ₹ 20.07 lakh crore was transferred.

In June 2024, 1,389 crore transactions were done through Unified Payment System i.e. UPI. During this period, a total amount of Rs 2,007 lakh crore was transferred. The number of transactions has increased by 49% on an annual basis.

At the same time, the amount transferred through this has increased by 36%. A year ago i.e. in June 2023, transactions worth Rs 14.75 lakh crore were made through 934 crore transactions. At the same time, compared to last month, the number of transactions has decreased by 1% and the amount transferred has decreased by 2%.

Niva Bupa Health Insurance Company has filed draft papers with market regulator SEBI to launch an IPO. The company wants to raise Rs 3,000 crore through this IPO. Niva Bupa Health Insurance gave this information in its stock exchange filing. This company was earlier known as Max Bupa Life Insurance.

According to the draft papers, the health insurance company will raise Rs 800 crore through fresh shares and Rs 2,200 crore through Offer for Sale (OFS). Through OFS, Bupa Singapore Holdings Pte will sell 62.27% of its stake to raise ₹320 crore. Fatal Tone LLP will sell 27.86% stake for Rs 1,880 crore.
