PM-KISAN 17th instalment: There is great news for about 12 crore farmers covered under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-Kisan) scheme. There is news that after the election results i.e. June 4, the new central government can release the 17th installment under PM Kisan Yojana. However, no official confirmation has been made by the government in this regard. Let us tell you that the 16th installment was released on February 28, 2024.

What is the plan?

Under the PM-Kisan scheme, all landholding farmer families get an annual benefit of ₹6,000, which is given in three equal installments of ₹2,000 each. This central sector scheme aims to provide income support to the families of landholding farmers across the country, helping them meet various agricultural and household expenses. All landholding farmer families who have cultivable land in their name are eligible to get benefits from this scheme.

Eligible farmers should apply online for 17th installment in this way –

Step 1: Visit the official website pmkisan.gov.in and go to ‘Farmer Corner’.

Step 2: Click on ‘New Farmer Registration’, enter Aadhaar number and fill the captcha.

Step 3: After entering the required details, click on ‘Yes’.

Step 4: Complete the PM-Kisan Application Form 2023, keep the details and take a printout for future reference.

Eligible farmers can check the installment status like this-

Step 1: Go to pmkisan.gov.in.

Step 2: Select ‘Beneficiary Status’ under ‘Farmers Corner’ section on the homepage.

Step 3: Enter the registered Aadhaar number or bank account number.

Step 4: Click on ‘Get Data’ to check installment status.
