Aamir Khan, popularly known as Mr. Perfectionist in Bollywood, feels that Carlos Alcaraz has the potential to become one of the greatest players of all time. He also said that I can bet that Alcaraz can win the Wimbledon title this time.
Aamir Khan is currently in London, where he came to watch Wimbledon 2024. Speaking to Star Sports here, he said, Alcaraz is playing really well. Of course, he’s just getting started, but I think if he continues to play like this he has the potential to become one of the greatest players of all time. I think I’ll bet on Alcaraz. Novak Djokovic is also playing brilliantly. But I think Alcaraz can win the title.
Alcaraz will face Medvedev in the semi-finals
Spain’s Carlos Alcaraz has reached the semi-finals of Wimbledon 2024. He won against Tommy Paul of America in the quarter-finals played on 9 July. He defeated Paul 5-7, 6-4, 6-2, 6-2. After losing the first set 5–7, defending champion Alcaraz came back and won all three consecutive sets to win the match. He will face Daniil Medvedev in the semi-finals.
Aamir has been Maharashtra State Champion
While talking to Star Sports, Aamir said, he also used to play tennis and was also Maharashtra State Champion. But he later quit playing tennis and completely moved into films. He further said, I don’t think I could ever reach a big level in this. But I really enjoyed the game and so I had a lot of fun while playing it. And then one day, my dad decided that I should stop playing. So I stopped playing.
