Pakistan reached eighth position in ICC Test rankings.
Pakistan team has slipped to number 8 in the ICC Test rankings. It has lost 2 places due to the series defeat against Bangladesh. At present, Pakistan has 76 rating points. This is the lowest rating of the Pakistani team since 1965.
In the rankings released on Wednesday, the Indian team is at second position with 120 points, while Australia (124 points) is at the top. The team has lost the series to Bangladesh for the first time in the history of Test cricket. Bangladesh made a 2-0 clean sweep in the 2-match series against Pakistan. The host team lost the first test by 10 wickets and the second test by 6 wickets. However, Bangladesh has not got much benefit in the ranking by winning the series. No change in the ranking of top-5 teams
There has been no change in the position of the top-5 teams in the latest ICC Test rankings. Like before, Australia is at first position with 124 rating points, India is at second position with 120 rating points, England is at third position with 108 rating points, South Africa is at fourth position with 104 rating points and New Zealand is at fourth position with 96 rating points.
