Maharashtra government gives approval on Sports Day
On the occasion of Sports Day on August 29, the Maharashtra government approved the proposal to install a 6 feet tall statue of Achrekar near Gate No. 5 of Shivaji Park. It will be the responsibility of the Municipal Corporation to build it. On this, Sachin had said that Achrekar sir has had a great influence on my life and the lives of many others. I speak on behalf of all their students. His life revolved around cricket at Shivaji Park. It must have been his wish to always live in Shivaji Park.
