BCCI Secretary Jay Shah said in an interview given at the Times of India office in Mumbai on Thursday – ‘We are hosting the Women’s ODI World Cup next year. In such a situation, we do not want to give the indication that we want to continuously hold the World Cup in our own home.
Here Shah told that the new NCA in Bengaluru is now ready with new facilities. Olympians of other sports will also be able to use its facilities.
10 teams will participate in T-20 World Cup
Women’s T-20 World Cup is to be played in Bangladesh from 3 to 20 October. 10 teams will participate in this World Cup. 23 matches will be held in 18 days. India is in Group A with 6-time champion Australia. Apart from this, this group includes Pakistan, New Zealand and a team from the qualifiers. Whereas host Bangladesh, England, South Africa, West Indies and Qualifier-2 team are in Group B. All the matches of this group will be played in Dhaka.
Top two teams from both groups will reach the semi-finals
The top two teams of both the groups will reach the semi-finals. The first semi-final will be played in Sylhet on 17 October and the second semi-final will be played in Dhaka on 18 October. The final will be played in Dhaka on 20th October.
