The closing ceremony of the Paris Olympic Games 2024 continues. It started with a French song. The ceremony took place from the same place from where the Games started after the opening ceremony.
The Parade of Nations followed the playing of the French national anthem at the Stade de France stadium. This time the players did not appear in a single queue, but in a mixed form. Players were seen dancing with the medals. Players from Greece, Refugee Olympic Team and France came first in the parade.
Gabriela Sarmiento Wilson of USA, who has won 5 Grammy Awards, will perform shortly. She has also won an Oscar and an Emmy Award.
In sports events, America topped the tally by winning 126 medals including 40 gold. India stood at 71st position with 6 medals including one silver. Shooter Manu Bhaker and hockey goalkeeper PR Sreejesh held the tricolor. Manu won two bronzes, while Sreejesh was part of the bronze medalist Indian team that defeated Spain 2-1.

Who will hold the tricolor of India?

What will happen in the closing ceremony?
Paris’ Stade de Halle stadium will be transformed into a giant concert hall during the closing ceremony. More than 100 artists, acrobats, dance and circus artists will perform, which will be directed by Thomas Jolly. He also directed the opening ceremony.
