The unfulfilled dream of veteran tennis player Novak Djokovic has been fulfilled. He has won the Olympic gold medal for the first time in his career. Djokovic created history by defeating Carlos Alcaraz in the men’s singles final at the Paris Olympics 2024 on Sunday. The 37-year-old Serbian player defeated Alcaraz 7-6(3), 7-6(2). Djokovic, who has won 24 Grand Slam titles, was longing for an Olympic medal for a long time. He entered his first Olympic final by defeating Lorenzo Musetti of Italy. Top-seeded Djokovic had lost his three previous Olympic semi-finals.
