Manu Bhaker, who won the country its first medal in the Paris Olympic Games, has revealed her favorite food. However, today she is changing her favorite food, but it is only for a day. She has won this medal in the Women’s 10 meter Air Pistol event. Two players from Korea won gold and silver medals in these games.
A video has been shared on the official social media handle of Indian Olympic Committee i.e. Instagram handle named Olympic Games, in which Manu Bhaker is asked what is his favorite food, then he replied and said, “My favorite food is potato.” There is paratha, which my mother makes, but today my favorite food is this medal.” It can also be seen in this video that she is trying to cut the medal. She is trying to show that this is her favorite food today.
Often athletes get their photos clicked while biting their Olympic or any medal. It was said that athletes used to check whether their gold medal was of real gold or not, but this is not true. Olympic officials confirmed that athletes did this at the behest of photographers and that this has been the case since the IOC stopped giving out real gold coins in 1912. Manu Bhakar was also seen doing something similar. She pressed her bronze medal between her teeth and made a gesture that she wanted to taste it.
