National Anti-Doping Agency (NADA) had recently suspended wrestler Bajrang Punia for the second time. The agency has accused Bajrang Punia of violating the rules of the National Anti-Doping Agency. Actually, Bajrang Punia addressed the National Conference held in Sonipat in March.

Bajrang Punia has time till July 11 to respond against the notice. Earlier, on May 5 also NADA had suspended him. When last time NADA suspended Bajrang, his suspension was revoked by the Anti-Doping Disciplinary Panel after three weeks as he was not issued a notice.
Now NADA has also issued a notice to Bajrang Punia along with the suspension. On March 10, during the National Trials of Asian Qualifiers for participation in the Olympic Games, NADA had asked Bajrang to give his sample. But, Bajrang refused to give the sample. However, now Bajrang Punia’s reaction has come.

This pertains to the second suspension in 2 consecutive months by NADA after revocation of the first suspension in the same case. NADA clearly ignored all the facts given to them and suspended me again. This shows how NADA is targeting me, they don’t want me to continue wrestling at any cost.
They have no answers and don’t want to take responsibility for their mistakes. They just want to harass the athlete for their redemption. NADA does not want anyone to question their wrong ways and if anyone does, they are targeted so that they cannot continue their game. If NADA wants to challenge the wrestlers’ grit and determination to stand up for their rights for the sake of its ego, let it do so. The wrestler is here and will fight till the end. My lawyer will file his reply in time.

– Why does NADA not answer how an unregistered chaperone whose name was not in the mission order contacted and pressurized me for sample collection?
