Temple where rats are worshiped
Karni Mata temple is situated in Bikaner, Rajasthan. This temple is also called the temple of rats. Actually there are about twenty-five thousand rats in this temple. People come from far and wide to worship these rats. Like Gods and Goddesses, Prasad is also offered to them. Any devotee whose prasad is eaten by rats is considered very lucky. The interesting thing is that if a rat dies here, its silver statue is also made.
“Whiskey Devi” temple resides in MP
The temple of Kaal Bhairav is situated in Madhya Pradesh which is also known as Whiskey Devi Temple. People coming here offer liquor as prasad to God. Outside the temple you will find rows of shops selling prasad, flowers and liquor. Here the government has also opened many liquor shops where both domestic and foreign liquor is available.
Bullet Baba’s temple is unique
Bullet Baba temple is in Jodhpur, Rajasthan. A bullet is worshiped here. Actually the story here is very interesting. Many years ago, Om Banna, who lived there, was going somewhere in his Bullet when he met with an accident on the way. Om Banna died in the accident. When the police picked up his bullet and brought it to the police station, it reached the accident site on its own at night. The police would come again and again with this bullet and it would reach the same place again and again. After seeing this miracle, the people there built a temple at that place which is called Bullet Baba Temple.
Airplanes fly here in offerings
There is a unique Gurudwara in Jalandhar, Punjab. It is also called Airplane Gurudwara. It is believed that many years ago, when some boys were waiting for their visa to go abroad, they had flown a plastic airplane in this Gurudwara. Within a few days his wish was fulfilled. Since then, whenever a person aspires to go abroad, he comes to this Gurudwara and offers a toy airplane as an offering. Here many airplanes are collected as offerings which are distributed among orphan children.
Temple where dogs are worshiped
There is a unique temple in Karnataka where dogs are worshipped. The name of this temple is Channapatna Dog Temple. This temple was built by a very big businessman here. It is said that a goddess appeared in his dream who ordered him to build a temple where dogs would be worshipped. The people here believe that because of this temple, there is an atmosphere of happiness and peace in the entire village and this temple protects them.
