The 37th match of the T-20 World Cup was very exciting. Bangladesh defended the smallest total of 107 runs in the T20 World Cup. In this match, excellent bowling was seen from both the teams. 1. Liton Das got life support
Wicketkeeper Liton Das got a lease of life on the last ball of Bangladesh’s first over. Nepal’s bowler Sompal Kami bowled a full length ball between the middle and leg stump. Liton stepped back a little and the ball hit his pad. On Nepal’s appeal, the field umpire declared Liton out. But, Liton Das turned to the third umpire.

Liton got a lease of life due to a leg stump miss. However, in the 5th over, Liton was dismissed by Sompal for 10 runs.

2. Mahmudullah was run out due to Shakib

Bangladesh came to bat first. The team had a very bad start. The team lost 4 wickets in the powerplay itself. The 9th over was bowled by Sandeep Lamichhane. He bowled a full toss to Shakib, the last ball of the over. Shakib played a shot at extra cover and ran to take a single. But, then Shakib saw that Nepal’s fielder Gulshan Jha was very close to the ball and he asked Mahmudullah, who was coming to take runs from the other end, to return.

Mahmudullah had covered more than half the distance. Gulshan threw towards the bowler Lamichhane and Lamichhane made an easy run out. Mahmudullah was out after scoring 13 runs.

Sandeep Lamichhane dismissed Mahmudullah for 13 runs.

3. There was an altercation between Tanzeem and Captain Paudel.
Nepal team, which came to chase 106 runs, lost two wickets in the third over. Bangladesh’s Tanzim Hasan Shakib took the wickets of Kushal Bhurtel on the second ball of the over and Anil Shah on the fourth ball. After this, Nepal captain Rohit Paudel came on the field. In the match between Bangladesh and Nepal, Bangladesh scored 107 while playing first. Playing in reply, Nepal was all out for 85 runs in front of the excellent bowling of Bangladesh. Bangladesh won the match by 21 runs. The team defended the smallest total in the history of T20 World Cup. Earlier in the same World Cup, South Africa had defended 114 runs against Bangladesh.

2. Tanzim bowled the second best bowling for Bangladesh in the T-20 World Cup.
The team’s bowlers performed brilliantly in Bangladesh’s last league match of the T20 World Cup 2024. Wickets started falling from the third over of Nepal, which was chasing a small target of 108. For Bangladesh, Tanzim Hasan Shakib took 4 wickets for 7 runs in 4 overs. This was the second best bowling figure from Bangladesh.
