T20 World Cup Bangladesh Squad Players List; Shakib Al Hasan Najmul Hossain Shanto | Bangladesh team announced for T20 World Cup: Shanto will captain the team; Bangladesh’s first match against Sri Lanka on 7th June

Bangladesh has announced a 15-member squad for the T20 World Cup to be held in America and West Indies next month. Bangladesh Board made this announcement on Tuesday. Nazmul Hussain Shanto will captain the team in the World Cup. Shanto was made the captain of Bangladesh in all formats earlier this year.

Experienced all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan has also been included in the team. Shakib has played in every T20 World Cup since the inaugural 2007 edition. Afif Hossain and Hasan Mahmood will go into the tournament as reserves.

Bangladesh beats Zimbabwe 4-1 in T-20 series
Shakib has returned to T20 International cricket after almost a year in the series against Zimbabwe. Shakib was included in the Bangladesh team for the last two matches of the 5-match series against Zimbabwe. He played an important role in the team’s victory by taking four wickets in the fourth match. Bangladesh recently won the 5-match T20 series against Zimbabwe by 4-1.

Bangladesh included in Group D
Bangladesh has been placed in Group D along with South Africa, Sri Lanka, Netherlands and Nepal in the T20 World Cup. The team’s first match will be against Sri Lanka on June 7 in Dallas.
