Former head coach of Team India, Rahul Dravid has become the head coach of IPL franchise Rajasthan Royals. Rajasthan Royals said on social media

Rajasthan Royals CEO Jack Lush McCrum said, “We have seen Dravid’s coaching with the Indian team. He has also had a deep connection with the Royals, we have seen his passion for the game and the team.

Rajasthan Royals informed about Rahul Dravid becoming the coach on social media.

“This is the right time to accept the second challenge after the World Cup.” After becoming the coach of Rajasthan, Rahul Dravid said that after the World Cup, I felt that this is the right time to accept another challenge and Rajasthan Royals is the best option for it. Rajasthan Royals owner Manoj Badale said that we have performed better in the last few years but there is still a lot to learn. Our progress will accelerate with Dravid’s return.

Rahul Dravid was the head coach of Team India from November 2021 to June 2024.

Team India became world champion this year under Dravid’s coaching. He was the head coach of the Indian team in the T-20 World Cup held in June this year. Despite making the team champion, he did not extend his tenure. Dravid, who made India the T20 World Champion as head coach, has been associated with the Royals team in different but very important roles before.

He was the captain of the team in the 2012 and 2013 seasons of IPL. Apart from this, he was also team director and mentor in 2014 and 2015.

Dravid became the head coach of Team India in November 2021.
