Shaheen Afridi celebrated on the field after the birth of his son in the first Test.

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Thursday announced a 12-member squad for the second Test against Bangladesh. Star fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi has not got a place in this team. The last Test match of the series between Pakistan and Bangladesh will be played at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium from Friday, August 30.

Shaheen Afridi led the pace attack in the first test match. Pacer Mir Hamza and leg spinner Abrar Ahmed have returned to the Pakistan team, who did not get a chance in the first Test match of the series. The host Pakistan team is behind 0-1 in the two-match series.

Afridi has recently become a father
Pakistan Cricket Board announced the 12-member squad for the second test match on social media platform X. Afridi was released from the team after the first test match. Afridi returned home after the first Test match played in Rawalpindi after the birth of his first son. Nothing has been clarified as to why he has not been included in the team for the second Test.

Young leg spinner Abrar Ahmed has been included in the Pakistani team for the second Test.

The Bangladesh team, captained by Nazmul Hussain Shanto, had registered a historic victory against Pakistan by 10 wickets in the first test match. Pakistan did not play a specialist spinner in the first Test match, due to which they had to suffer the consequences. For this reason, leg spinner Abrar Ahmed has been included in the Pakistani team in the second match. Spinners Shakib Al Hasan and Mehdi Hasan Miraj played important roles in Bangladesh’s victory.
